Custom print & mail / how it works

From the first idea to the recipient’s hands.

We help shape the piece, prepare a physical sample for custom formats, and handle production through mailing. Once the format is agreed, it is ready to send again.

What we handle

The whole physical path between “send” and “received.”

Bring the message, artwork, and recipient details. We agree on the format, what changes between recipients, and how the finished pieces will be sent.

Built as one piece

Material and mailing choices are part of the message.

Paper, printing, handwriting, embossing, inserts, and packaging only work when they are planned together with the way the piece will travel.

Printing & finishingPrinted artwork and optional finishes, from embossing to wax seals or pen-written details.

Contents & assemblySingle sheets, cards, and selected inserts brought together according to the approved format.

MailingRecipient details, postage, and dispatch handled with the finished mailing in mind.

For automations and integrations

Keep the trigger digital. Make the arrival physical.

Once a format is approved, lists, the Matterleaf API, and recurring sends can use the same approved format as recipients and messages change.

What happens between approval and mailing?

For a new custom format, we prepare a physical sample so you can review the paper, printing, contents, and presentation together. Once the format is approved, we print, assemble, address, and prepare each piece for the post.

Approved formats normally take 2–3 business days to process and dispatch once we have the details needed to produce them. We confirm timing for larger batches or new custom work before production.

What happens after the first send?

Keep using the approved format as recipients and messages change. Send individually or in batches, with list uploads or the Matterleaf API.

What about USPS?

Thickness, rigidity, dimensions, and contents shape how a piece can travel. We choose the envelope and postage around the finished mailing.

The next step
