Matterleaf provides a service to:

• Provide messages, artwork, recipient information, and agreed variations
• Choose or develop formats including letters, cards, inserts, and multi-piece mailings
• Have physical pieces printed, assembled, addressed, and mailed on your behalf
• Use approved formats for future individual, batch, or recurring sends

We strive to deliver high-quality letters, but final delivery depends on postal services outside our control.

3. User Accounts

To use our service, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access

You're responsible for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Matterleaf only for lawful purposes. You may not use our service to send:

• Threatening, harassing, or abusive content
• Fraudulent or deceptive communications
• Content that violates others' privacy or intellectual property rights
• Materials that are illegal or promote illegal activities
• Content that contains malware or harmful code references

Lawful business outreach is permitted. We reserve the right to refuse content that violates these guidelines or applicable law. Remedies for rejected work depend on whether production or material costs have begun.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content and assets you submit, including text, artwork, logos, addresses, and data. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to:

• Process, store, and print your content
• Use postal services to deliver your letters

This license is for fulfilling your orders and operating the service. Matterleaf retains its software, branding, and general production methods. An approved format may be reused for your future sends, while your customer-specific assets remain yours.

You represent that you have the right to use any content you submit and that it doesn't infringe on others' rights.

6. Pricing & Payment

Our standard pricing is displayed on our pricing page. Custom formats are quoted around the paper, contents, presentation, postage, and work involved. By placing an order, you agree to the quote or prices in effect when you submit it.

• Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Billing: You'll receive a receipt for each completed order
• Price Changes: We may update pricing; changes won't affect orders already placed
• Custom work: Sample costs, setup work, and any prepaid mailing credit are agreed before work begins

7. Refunds & Cancellations

We want you to be satisfied with our service:

• Before Production: Orders can be cancelled before production or material costs begin
• Quality Issues: If the finished work has a defect against the agreed format, contact us for correction, reprint, or refund
• Delivery Issues: We're not responsible for postal service delays or losses, but we'll help investigate
• User Errors: We cannot refund orders sent to incorrect addresses provided by you

8. Intellectual Property

The Matterleaf service, including our website, designs, logos, and software, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our materials
• Use our branding without permission
• Reverse engineer our software
• Copy our software, branding, or website materials
• Use our service outside an authorized client or product-fulfillment relationship

9. Disclaimers

While we strive for excellence, our service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Specific delivery times (dependent on postal services)
• That our service will meet all your requirements

We work hard to ensure quality, but occasional issues may occur. We'll always work with you to resolve problems.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Matterleaf shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages exceeding the amount you paid for the specific order in question

This doesn't affect any rights you may have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ends. Provisions that should survive termination (like limitation of liability) will remain in effect.
